Nothing's more relaxing than a peaceful afternoon spent on the Liscombe River. It's your choice how you enjoy the view; a harbour tour on our 12-passenger tour boat, a quiet canoe trip up river or paddle boating out on Riley's Island. On shore you can enjoy a game of tennis or shuffleboard on the lodge grounds. Bike along country roads or hike along our nature trails. Scenic spots like the waterfalls on Liscombe River Trail are just perfect for a picnic - we will pack one for you. And a visit to nearby Sherbrooke Village, a living museum of life in the 1800's, is a trip the whole family will enjoy. Want to work out? You will find all the equipment for aerobic and total body exercise in our fitness center. Afterwards take a dip in our 38 x 20 foot pool, or let our sauna or whirlpool melt your troubles away. Last but not least, unwind on our verandah and enjoy the view of King Fishers, Ospreys and Eagles as our chefs cook the house specialty, Planked Salmon. Its prepared in the traditional way, slowly cooked outdoors in full view of waiting diners. Give yourself a break and get back to nature in our relaxed, casual atmosphere. Directions

Halifax to the Property:

Cross the MacKay Bridge heading towards Dartmouth and proceed along the Highway and take the Main Street Eastern Shore Ramp. Proceed on Main Street, which will eventually become Highway 107 towards Musquodoboit Harbour. Highway 107 ends here. Turn right on Highway 7 and proceed along the Marine Drive through Musquodoboit Harbour and Sheet Harbour to Liscombe Mills. Our entrance is located on the right side of the road. Approximate driving time 2 1/2 hours (170 kms or 106 miles).

Halifax International Airport (YHZ):

Proceed towards Halifax on Highway 102. At the split in the highway, take Halifax/Dartmouth via bridges (Highway 118 to Highway 107). Proceed to the first set of stoplights (Tim Horton's is on your right). Turn left on Highway 107 and proceed to Musquodoboit Harbour. Highway 107 ends here. Turn right on Highway 7 and proceed along the Marine Drive (Highway 7) through Musquodoboit Harbour and Sheet Harbour to Liscombe Mills. Our entrance is located on the right side of the road. Approximate driving time 2 1/2 hours (180 kms or 113 miles).
